In October 2024, the Panamerican Pier transformed into a majestic fashion stage as designer Michelle Norein Otero, better known as Eclíptica, captivated San Juan with her new Spring/Summer 2025 collection. The evening stood out not only for its creativity and elegance but also for its heartfelt purpose: supporting the Ferries del Caribe Foundation.
San Juan Cruise Port is proud to join this cause, supporting both local talent and the mission of a foundation dedicated to helping “the poorest among the poor.” With projects that include building schools and clinics and distributing food to vulnerable communities in Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic, the foundation continues to make a lasting impact where it is needed most.
San Juan Cruise Port is proud to support this inspiring fusion of fashion and philanthropy, where art and solidarity come together to transform lives.
In March 2025, San Juan Cruise Port sealed its contribution to the Puerto Rico Hotel & Tourism Association’s Time Capsule, part of the organization’s 75th anniversary celebration. Among the many symbolic items included in the capsule, such as a luggage tag featuring the SJCP logo, our contribution was “Cruising Together Into the Future,” a magazine that captures a snapshot of our port today: its evolution, its achievements, and the dedicated team that makes every arrival and departure possible.
“This project represents our vision, our commitment, and our passion for an industry that continues to grow with strength and purpose. It is an honor to leave a legacy for those who will come after us,” said Clarivette Díaz, General Manager of SJCP.
We thank PRHTA and its president, Clarissa Jiménez, for making us part of this historic initiative. We look forward with excitement to the day this capsule is opened in 2049!
San Juan Cruise Port invited Lia, a student from the University of Puerto Rico in Carolina, to experience the everyday work at our piers. From learning about port operations to hands-on training, Lia became our very first intern and a proud representative of the next generation of Puerto Rico’s maritime sector professionals.
On this special day, the MSC Seascape was in port, giving Lia a unique opportunity to witness operations firsthand: from preparing the docks and setting up the ramps, to working alongside handlers, bridgers, and even seeing life onboard.
Lia’s passion and dedication reflect the bright future of our industry, as young leaders continue to strengthen Puerto Rico’s role in global maritime activity. At San Juan Cruise Port, we remain committed to building opportunities for the next generation, while fostering harmony between our industry, our community, and our environment.
San Juan Cruise Port was honored to spend a meaningful day at Ronald McDonald House Charities, bringing Christmas joy to families and supporting the incredible volunteers and staff who make their mission possible. Our team served a festive lunch, delivered toys, and shared smiles with children as part of our commitment to giving back.
“It is a privilege for all of us at San Juan Cruise Port to support RMHC and the countless lives they touch through their incredible work. Serving a Christmas lunch, bringing toys and smiles to little ones, and assisting with their needs is a reflection of our values and commitment to making a difference and giving back to the communities we serve,” shared Clarivette Díaz, General Manager of SJCP.
Organizations like RMHC provide vital comfort to families during challenging times and strengthen our communities. We are proud to stand by their
mission and continue building meaningful connections that reflect our values of care, service, and excellence.
